Things, we are getting used to

faucet in major bathromm is broken
This is maybe something for people who live in Morocco... or anywhere... I just wanted to run with the camera through the house and take a momentum of what is not really working well in an average house here. Things, which bother you at the beginning, but after a while, you are just getting used to them (or you have to get used to them, as you don't find anybody fixing it or it breaks again after a week...).
help yourself
Our shower - which is really lovely, marbor and everything - has a slight descent, but in the wrong direction, so water flows from the shower outside and coveres the whole bathroom. I stopped that, by adding silicone fixed stones infront of the door...
Shutters are a main problem in our house... this is Elias' room, again dark for at least a week. I was sooo happy to have now electric shutters, but my oh my, they break all the time. I changed the 'shutter person' now, as I had the feeling, he does it on purpose, to only fix them for a couple of weeks, to have a steady income... Also, there is water leaking through Elias' door...
Abdalla tried to chnage a light bulp... that way, the whole light came off and is still hanging in an odd angle and standig out...
Too little power outlets lead automatically to this most beautiful 'power arrangements'.
 Well, talking about 'power arrangements'....
And yes, they are all over the place... I glued them on with my glue pistol, but every 'specialist' which comes in our house to 'fix' something, just pulls them off violently.
Bathrooms are made to look very rich, but the quality is more then often chinese... things falling apart
The door to our garage... sooo soft, it just crumbles in your hands....
After the heavy rainfalls befor christmas, we had water tripping down from our ceiling for another three weeks, staining our dining table and chairs...
If you think, doors shut well, you are mistaken... there is never a lack of fresh air in our houses!!!
And yes, still our mushroom plantation, which should be fixed by tomorrow (a big INSHA'ALLAH for that one!!)
Water stains from rain on our walls. But thanks god, with Tadelakt, that is not a big problem!!
Water leaks through many doors, ruining furniture, if too close...
To change lights in the kitchen on 3,5 meters, you nearly have to get half of the ceiling off. Two are not working at the moment, replacements are very difficult to find.

This was just 5 minutes walking though the house. There would be much more, if you have a closer look. (Automatic garage door again not working the way it should, broken faucet in the kitchen, ...) But that too, is a thing you stop doing: having a close look at things.
